Harbour House — Deck Dining Range

A full outdoor dining range for an exposed coastal deck — built to shrug off salt air and a packed service, night after night.

Powder-coated steel dining tables on a coastal restaurant deck

Harbour House needed an outdoor range that could take a beating: direct sea spray, wind, and a deck that turns over hundreds of covers on a summer evening. Off-the-shelf furniture was rusting within a season.

We designed a table and chair family around a 3mm mild-steel frame with a marine-grade powder-coat system, paired with sealed hardwood tops that could be refinished in place. Every joint was prototyped and salt-tested before we committed the batch.

The result is a coherent range that reads as one deck, survives the coast, and can be re-ordered piece-for-piece as the venue grows.

Outcome

Delivered in two batches over six weeks. Zero corrosion after three seasons on the deck.

“Viking Designs took our sketches and turned them into 60 identical tables that have survived three summers of a full deck. They understood a restaurant runs on reliability, not just looks.”
